Well, this was a quick trip--4 days in Rome and 2 in Florence (plus a full 20 hours of flying roundtrip). Although short, a week was enough time to realize how gorgeous Italy truly is. It gives you an entirely new idea of what history means--ancient Roman ruins where Julius Caesar and Marc Antony once stood, sculptures and stained glass envisioned and crafted by DaVinci and Donatello, opera, bridges, and--who could forget--lots and lots of gelato. Here are some of my favorite shots.
