I was happy to find that some photos of mine were published on Glamour.com of Bill and Laura's wedding. I second shot their wedding for Jennifer Davis earlier this year. Laura herself is a wedding coordinator (and a fantastic one), so the article is all about how a pro really does it right.

Snapdragons in the sun

It never gets old coming home to find flowers from my sweetheart. This weekend, after returning from a shoot in Boston, was a vase of one of my very favorites--Snapdragons. It's still such a good time for me to squeeze their sides and make them talk :)

Happy Father's Day

I was reminded of this photo recently, and thought I would post it as a tribute to my dad on Father's Day. This is despite the fact that he still refuses to own a computer and so will most likely not see it (unless one of his fellow farmers in Redwood Falls, MN, is an avid blog follower of mine and shows him :)

I posed my dad for this portrait in one of his bean fields when I was still in photo school in MN, and it's still one of my favorite pictures. Maybe a little too photoshopped, but the sentiment wins out, I think. Happy Father's Day to all you fathers!

NYC Engagement: J and J

How awesome is it that J. and J. are going to have a 1920's themed wedding in August? And, they wanted their engagement shoot to go along with that style, so we spent last Sunday morning playing around with the flapper style in lower Manhattan, which is just the perfect setting. I SO can't wait to shoot their wedding--6 bridesmaids all with finger waves in their hair! It's going to be just beautiful :)

NYC Wedding: Jen and Vanya

I had the pleasure of tagging along to second shoot for Robin Roemer at Jen and Vanya's wedding. Their ceremony was at a sweet little church, appropriately named The Little Church Around the Corner, and their reception was at Tribeca Rooftop.

NYC Engagement: Vanessa and Pete

Last weekend, I met with Vanessa, Pete, and their wonderfully beefy bulldog, Zoey, for their engagement session. I'll be shooting their wedding next month as an associate for Jennifer Davis Photography. I can't wait! They have such a great energy together--and quite possibly the cutest laughter ever :)
