Gordon and Jo: Proposal in Central Park

How much do I love my job? A whole lot.

Gordon called me a couple of weeks ago from Scotland. He told me that he was coming with his girlfriend, Joanna, on a trip to New York--where she's wanted to go since she was young--and he wanted to propose to her in Central Park! Since he had never been here himself, I found myself doubling as a stealthy proposal-coordinator. Too much fun. He planned it so that a florist was there to meet them as they were walking through the middle of the park with a huge bouquet of roses for Joanna, as I pretended to be a tourist and snapped pictures from the background. Then we had a mini-engagement session right after she said yes, and they were both just bursting with adrenaline from the enormity of what had just happened.

I just love my job :) Congratulations, Gordon and Jo!!

Guatamala

This month, Jamie and I got to head down to Guatamala for a little adventure-having. I have to say that I think it was my very favorite trip so far--gorgeous countryside, booming markets, hiking a live volcano, beautiful Lake Atitlan, and attending a good friend's wedding in Antigua which was nothing short of breathtaking. Very good times.

NY Wedding: Brynn and Maz

I LOVE Brynn and Maz's story--so unlikely of circumstances that it had to have been fate! They were both at a dance club in NYC that their friends had dragged them to, and strangely enough, Brynn wanted to stay and dance when her friends wanted to leave. So she said "Fine, go! I'll just dance with this guy!" She grabbed the guy that would eventually be her husband and the rest is history. That story just makes me happy :)

I had such a good time photographing their wedding at Castle on the Hudson. Rev. Annie Lawrence officiated an absolutely beautiful ceremony. Thanks so much to my guest photographer, Rob!
